Started this whole thing back in 2012 after spending way too many years watching businesses struggle with cross-border compliance issues that could've been avoided. Got tired of seeing good companies get tangled up in red tape, so I figured we'd do something about it.

Co-Founding Partner

Been working alongside Elena since day one. My background's in M&A and corporate structuring, which honestly pairs pretty well with her trade law expertise. We've built something special here - not your typical stuffy law firm where nobody talks straight with you.

How We Got Here

2012

Opened Our Doors

Started with just the two of us and a shared office space on King Street. Had maybe three clients and a whole lot of ambition. Those early days were rough but we learned fast.

2015

Expanded the Team

Brought on our first associates - needed the help badly at that point. Started specializing more in international trade compliance since that's where we were seeing the biggest demand from clients.

2018

Moved to Bay Street

Finally got our spot at 181 Bay - felt like we'd really made it. The downtown location helped us connect with more corporate clients who needed serious legal firepower for cross-border deals.

2021

Handled Record M&A Volume

Despite everything going on globally, we closed over 40 transactions that year. Learned how to pivot and work remotely without losing that personal touch our clients expect from us.

Still Growing

Now we're a team of 15+ legal professionals serving clients across North America and beyond. We've stayed true to what got us here - practical advice, no BS, and genuinely caring about your business outcomes.
